Early Bird Entry deadline: September 21, 2019

Regular Entry deadline: January 5, 2020

Extended Late Entry deadline (additional fees apply): February 22, 2020

Finalists for screening at Cannes will be announced: April 21, 2020

Winners will be announced at the Cannes Film Festival: New 2020 Event Dates TBA

Entry Guidelines:

Films accepted from current undergraduate or graduate school students and emerging filmmakers. Films should be 25 minutes or less in length. The film must be available via a digital link format. Films must be completed in 2018, 2019 or 2020.


Visibility at the Cannes Film Festival. Finalist films will be screened at a special invitation only screening in The Roger Ebert Conference Center during the Cannes Film Festival. Finalist films will be listed on promotional material at the Cannes Film Festival. Prizes will be awarded to winning filmmakers. One winning competition film will have an opportunity to have their short film broadcast and featured in the KCET Fine Cut Series.
