    • Complete a placement at The American Pavilion, the de facto headquarters for the American film community, or at a company doing business at the Marché du Film. Partner companies include talent agencies, production/distribution companies (both domestic and international), trade publications, and PR firms. It is better and faster than any internship out there.

    • Chance to screen your film in our Roger Ebert Conference Center (optional)

  • Cannes Hospitality & Event Management Program

    Learn

    • Pre-Festival Orientation

    • Gain a greater understanding of the production of a global event
    • Hands on-experience in event planning, catering and set-up

    Work

    • Work closely with industry professionals in producing a broad range of events – from press conferences to movie promotion parties to intimate dinners on The American Pavilion Terrace.

Registration Process

Application Requirements

1. Completed online application form with essay questionsPlease note that you will choose the specific program you are applying to in the application form.

2. Current résumé 

3. Unofficial college (or high school) transcript – If you have not yet received grades from your college, please include your high school transcript (or previous school transcript) along with a list of your current classes.

4. Photo for Festival credentials – Photo should be ID-style, of face only, with a light background and no headwear or other items/people in the photo. Format: jpeg; minimum dimensions: 300×420 pixels; maximum file size: 1 mb. File must be titled as applicant’s full name (e.g., Doe_John.jpg).

5. Non-refundable application fee of $55

*AmPav Alumni Program applicants are not required to resubmit their résumé or transcript, but can submit updated materials if they choose to.

 

Completed applications are reviewed by The American Pavilion Selection Committee on a rolling basis. Candidates who meet all of the requirements for admission will be contacted for a interview and notified of a decision on a first come, first served basis.

All completed applications received by March 1, 2021 will be considered Early Decision. Candidates are encouraged to apply early as the program can fill up quickly.

Conditions of Acceptance

If accepted into the program, applicant has four days to confirm participation in the program. Failure to confirm acceptance may result in losing your place in the program.

If accepted Early Decision, a non-refundable* payment of $2000 is due within two weeks of acceptance to hold your place in the program. The non-refundable* balance of $1950 is due 30 days later.

If accepted General Admission, a non-refundable* payment of $3950 is due within two weeks of acceptance.

Failure to comply with the above stated conditions may result in forfeiting your place in the program.

*Program fees are non-refundable. Acceptance can be rolled over to a future year if participation is not possible due to travel restrictions, date change, or cancellation of the Festival. Additional fees may be necessary if housing costs are increased due to COVID safety compliance. Any increase will be announced in May, and students who choose not to participate because of this will be entitled to a full refund of any payments made.

Flight/Travel Arrangements:

If accepted, participants are responsible for travel arrangements to and from Nice, France.
*It is recommended that you do not make travel arrangements until May.

$3950 Program Fee includes:

  • Pick-up and drop-off at Nice Côte d'Azur Airport
  • Shared accommodation in a European-style residence apartment (a 10-minute drive from the Festival)
  • Daily breakfast
  • Welcome Party and End-of-Program Party
  • Unique and exclusive Cannes International Film Festival accreditation allowing privileged access reserved to The American Pavilion participants
  • Membership to The American Pavilion
  • Admission to The Roundtable Series (work schedule permitting)
  • Access to The American Pavilion in-house ticketing system
  • Enrollment in Road To Cannes virtual program
