Do I need to be a participant in The American Pavilion Worldwide Student Program to submit a film to The Emerging Filmmaker Showcase?
No, the showcase is open to student filmmakers, graduate students and emerging filmmakers.
Can high school students apply to the Emerging Filmmaker Showcase?
Yes, The Emerging Filmmaker Showcase welcomes high school student submissions.
Is the Emerging Filmmaker Showcase the same as the Short Film Corner?
No. Ours is a separate program, but if you are accepted into the Emerging Filmmaker Showcase as a finalist, you will have an opportunity to submit your film to the Short Film Corner and your film will be flagged under the American Pavilion short films.
Do you provide accommodations?
If you are selected as a finalist, you will be given an opportunity to purchase an American Pavilion lodging package that will include lodging and breakfast. Details will be provided upon acceptance.
What are the dates for the American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase?
The Emerging Filmmaker Showcase will take place at the Roger Ebert Conference Center in the American Pavilion during the Cannes Film Festival on one or two days between May 21 and May 28. The exact dates will be announced at a later date.
